About the Workshop
It is not about fixing each other’s work.
It is about getting to know the each and the other.
It is about looking into poems and essays as windows
and noticing how they carry their ideas.
It is about writing as a way of making
meaningful discoveries, of finding patterns
that resonate with you. It is also
about playing and experimenting
with sounds, voices, words and lines.
Mostly, it is about showing up.

Hi, my name is Tanya a.k.a. Moonlit Brooks. I am a poet and doctoral researcher at EcoLit. I am so looking forward to these weekly gatherings in May where I will happily share some of what I have read, enjoyed and learned from. But this workshop is really about learning from you and your life experiences. So please do try and come to each of these sessions so that we can start and finish at least one piece of writing together. We will also get to share our work at a public reading and publish it as part of a community zine this year!
