New publication: Issue of “Diskussion Musikpädagogik” on the topic of ecology & climate crisis
As the first music education anthology in the German-speaking world, issue 102 of Diskussion Musikpädagogik is dedicated to the topic of ecology and the climate crisis. As part of the editorial team, Linus Eusterbrock from the EcoLit team, together with Silke Schmid and Jonas Völker, has curated the issue along a decidedly interdisciplinary paradigm, with contributions that touch on scientific, music-historical or political contexts, among others. The aim of the publication is to counteract the previous underrepresentation of ecological issues in the discourse and practice of German-language music education and to open up opportunities to anchor music education as part of music-specific education for sustainable development (ESD).
