Sometimes, we find ourselves distracted and not fully present in the world. We rush home, chat with friends, check our phones, or are simply in a hurry, and in doing so, we often miss the people, animals, plants, and buildings around us. Does this happen to you too?
There is so much to discover and pay attention to — the bark of a dog, the scent of freshly mowed grass, or the stylish shoes of the person standing next to us at the traffic light. In this workshop, we want to explore these daily wonders together. To help with this, we’ve prepared short videos of fascinating places in Cologne. Perhaps you have places or experiences you’d like to share with us as well? Together, we will write poems about our discoveries and reflect on how this changes the way we see, smell, listen, and feel. In the end, we’ll have a beautiful collection of poems to share with one another, and maybe we’ll walk through the world a little differently afterward. We look forward to your ideas and creativity!
